PIMP C to release posthumous album

Shalimar Media Group worked on behalf of the Estate of Pimp C to orchestrate an agreement that will allow never before released material from the legendary MC's recording sessions to be formally released through Mass Appeal Records.  The announcement comes on the heels of several new licensing and merchandising partnerships also facilitated by the firm.

Pimp C made a significant impact in 2013 with key appearances on records such as JayZ’s Tom Ford Remix, Juicy J’s ShowOut Remix and Smokin And Rollin which appeared on his top 20 album STAY TRIPPY. 

Los Angeles, CA -- A posthumous album from Pimp C is on the way.  The album will pair the Houston icon and UGK member with modern production titans like Juicy J, Mike Will Made It and long time Pimp C collaborator  N.O. Joe.

The Estate Of Pimp C. represents the posthumous affairs for legendary rapper Chad “Pimp C” Butler and is headed by his widow, Mrs. Chinara Butler. Mr. Butler was a member of UGK (Underground Kingz), one of the first southern hiphop groups to secure a major recording agreement. In 2008 the group was nominated for a Grammy for “International Players Anthem,” a collaboration with Grammy award winning rap duo, OutKast and Oscar Award winning rap group Three-6-Mafia.
